In one of the worst starts to my day in recent times, "King of Pop Micheal Jackson dies" stares at me. It doesn't really register at first....something like a bad dream....and I've to do a double-take to confirm what my eyes are seeing but my heart refuses to believe!!
Aahh...Michael Jackson...the biggest entertainer of them ALL!!!....the singing...dancing....the absolute power-packed live performances.....the out-of-this-world videos....and yes...who can forget the crotch hugging!!!
The first audio cassette I bought...after getting my very own boom-box...was "Bad". This was way back in 1987, I was studying in the seventh standard. All the way from Bombay (as it was known then) to my house in Uran, I couldn't wait to rip off the carton of the boom-box and play MJ!!!
I used to listen to the whole tape at least 15 times a day!!!! It goes without saying that I'd drive my mom and dad crazy!...well....parents!!!...how could they understand the magic of MJ!!!....and i forgave them! :D
So many years....so many wonderful songs....such amazing music....many controversies....seems Micheal had it all!!
No amount of the controversies could take away one thing from him - He is The Greatest Entertainer the world has ever seen!!!
